Dr. Ally Mizerany, DMD
Dr. Ally P. Mizerany was born and raised in Athens, Alabama. She completed her undergraduate
studies at the University of Alabama in 2017, graduating summa cum laude with a Bachelor of
Science in Biology and Minor in Nutrition. In 2021, she received her Doctorate of Dental
Medicine from the University of Alabama at Birmingham School of Dentistry.
Following dental school, Dr. Ally chose to further her dental education by completing a General
Practice Residency at the University of Alabama at Birmingham Hospital. During her training,
she learned how to comprehensively treat medically-compromised and special needs patients,
and she also received advanced training in oral surgery, prosthodontic, and restorative dental
procedures. Today she maintains her involvement with UAB by serving as an Adjunct Assistant
Professor in the Department of Restorative Sciences.
Dr. Ally enjoys practicing dentistry because it allows her to develop trusting relationships with
her patients. She loves helping make patients feel more comfortable during their dental visits
and wants them to feel like family. She also loves how rewarding dentistry can be through
restoring function and esthetics to patients’ smiles, thus improving their quality of life.
Outside of the office, Dr. Ally enjoys spending time with her husband, Charles Thomas, and
their two dogs, Marley and River. In her spare time, she loves watching Crimson Tide sports,
baking, reading, exercising, and traveling.
